My favorite cartoon cat is Garfield, followed closely by Felix the Cat and Heathcliff. What are your favorite cat cartoons?

Cats are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for cartoonists. The stories are endless. Many will agree that most cat-inspired cartoons capture the personality, the irks, the quirks, and the humor of felines.

In many instances, cats are portrayed as neurotic, lazy, and ornery (Garfield anyone?). Other cartoons show cats as being extremely intelligent, cool and suave animals.

Are these representations accurate? Well, that depends on the cat! My cats are certainly cunning, smart, and cool. And they're also sweet and good-natured (at least most of the time).

Many popular cat cartoons also chronicle the interactions between cats and their humans, which can be quite hilarious.
