Girly Girl

I got Girly Girl when i was around 5 (i am 13 now) with her brother Fritz (R.I.P.) we adopted them from my friend when they were 4months old i think. Girly was always the scaredy cat (literaly) and fritz was playful for a long time but soon he became over weight and he died March Break 2010. Girly Girl soon became very active and shows her face alot more. she only seems to come around me still though. She keeps her fur well groomed and is very healthy. She seems fine but you can tell she misses her brother. She is a strange cat though, she seems to know when me or my parents or my brother are sick because she curls up with them when they are. Having these cats have really helped me and i wish they never had to go.

A Born Nurse
by: Jean from Tennessee

Hi Joshua: I think Girly Girl is a born nurse! She has the gift of caring that only a born nurse could have. Many animals -- both dogs and cats in my experience -- have that gift.

I really liked hearing about Girly Girl, her brother and your family. I'm happy to know she is coming out of her shell, so to speak. And I'm sorry for your and her loss of her brother. Thankfully you have one another.

Girly Girl
by: Claudia - Admin

Hi Joshua,

I'm so glad Girly is coming out of her shell. Cats are very special animals. I agree that they know when you don't feel well. My cats do the same.If they know I'm feeling blue or have any pain, they try to comfort me.

I'm sorry about Fritz' passing. I recently lost my cat Mia and I miss her so much. But I'm also grateful that I got to spend so many wonderful moments with her. I'm sure you too have nice memories of Fritz.

Thank you for sharing Girly Girl's story.
