My "Boog" is awesome

My cat's name is Oscar but his nickname is commonly "Booboog", "Boog", or "Booger" (because he is a little booger!). I got him when he was 6 weeks old from a very good friend of mine in NC, about 6 months after my beloved tabby had to be put down due to old age. I found out that this little guy, for his size, was able to figure out how to climb up my pant leg when he couldn't yet jump on the couch in order to get a bite of my "people food"... That's how he got his nickname, but he still amazes me even now.

The other day I had hidden something from him behind a picture frame...after a week or so, he found it and I hid it again, but he went back to the picture frame and I saw him looking behind it (he saw me looking, and then he did it again, and looked to see if I was looking at him doing it). I told him that he was too smart for me, lol, and I now have this cat sign for my kitchen that says, "My cat is smarter than your honor roll student" as a result of his wicked smartycatness! Loveable thing, but he's too damn smart, lol.

Little Rascal Boog!
by: Jean from Tennesse

It sounds like "boog" is a perfect nickname for that sweet little rascal! He's a little booger of the highest caliber! I really enjoyed the picture you painted in words of him looking behind that picture frame and knowing you were watching! In my mind's eye, I could almost literally see it! Could you send us a picture?

It sounds like you have a delightful little companion and after losing your long time beloved companion I'm really happy the you have found this little guy! May he live with you for many, many years.

Awsome indeed!

Boog, like most tuxedos, sure is one "smarty cat". I enjoyed reading the story about the picture frame. A truly intelligent feline!

I love his nickname, too (I also like the name Oscar by the way). Thanks for sharing his story.
