MY LIL MUFFIN

by Penny

I found muffin at 2 months of age, he slept under my car and i just had to have him and he is such a joy. i live by the woods where there are around over 100 feral cats, all ages, and when the young ones come by like 2 months or more i let them in and find them homes, the real little ones i put in a cedar insulated house i have, 2 of them and the mommy comes by and stayes in there and takes care of them, they leave them ater 7 weeks and than i set out to find homes, with luck i do and if some i cant i send them to arl and they put them up for adoption. i have 2 cats a tuxedo i got at 2 months and blacky all pure black and he was around 6 months and they are great buddies. by the way i thought muffin was a girl and the vet surprised me saying he has a boy, but i kept his name. sometimes i call him McMuffin.

McMuffin and Mocha Latte, please!

I admire you so much for what you are doing for feral cats in your community! How terrific! The feral cats in your neighborhood are so lucky. To most people they are just undesirable neighbors --pests -- but you are going above and beyond, especially in regards to the kittens! You are giving a future to little ones who otherwise would have nothing but a brief and probably grim life. Thank you! And your little McMuffin sounds like a real keeper for sure.

Hi Penny,

Muffin sounds like a great cat. I love his nickname too (McMuffin!).

How wonderful of you to take care of the feral cats and finding them homes. Thank you for sharing your story.
