Pembury is our beloved cat! I found her in the local park a week after the London riots. It looks like she was abandoned. She was 3 months old, and along under a tree looking petrified. As I walked past a women shouted out for help because her dog was going to attack her and asked me to move the kitten. When I walked over to help the kitten ran up the tree. She climbed so high and stayed there for 4 hours. My partner arrived and with the help of the local park rangers, rescued her from the tree and brought her home. We put notices up in the local shops, rang the RSCPA, Battersea Cats home, local vets etc. A week passed and no one claimed her. We took her to the vet and she had no chip - so no owners could be located. We'd fallen in love with her so there was no question of whether we were going to adopt her. She was ours! She's now 5 months old and so adorable. She's really settled into our home, and loves being here. We have a great garden so she's got lots of bushes and shrubs to hide behind, and trees to climb and explore. She's already found her favourite spots. I grew up with dogs and have always been a dog person, but she's totally won me over. She has a great personality. Very independent, but also very affectionate and loves attention. She sleeps on the end of the bed (although as she's getting older she's starting to wonder a bit at night) and she wakes us up by nudging us, and jumping on us and kneading us every morning. She loves having her fur combed and purrs to hear hearts content. She's become a huge part of the family! We love her! Here's some pics I've taken on my mobile.
