POMPSEY

by Tina
(ON, Canada)

Pompsey is 20 years old now, weighing in at 3 pounds! Suddenly, after all this time, she's slowing down and I think it's time to create a tribute to her awesomness. This kitty has been my sidekick for so long...there will never be one like her. She's full of cute attributes. Part her perfectly black coat and you'll see she has "blond roots"--completely white roots. She's a medium-haired tuxedo in disguise! I love you, Pompsey!

To Frank's Human
by: Tina

Thanks you for your acknowledgement. I'm sorry about Frank. It's now been three months and even today, I got teary when I was in a pet store buying something for my new tuxedo cats. When the bond is that strong, it's no less difficult than losing a person who you love. My thoughts are with you and I hope you will find another close bond with a new kitty.

Sorry for your lost
by: Anonymous

Very ,very sorry for your lost. I had to put down my tuxedo cat, Frank, on March 26, 2012. He was 14-years-old. Hardest thing I ever had to do. All my best to you. I have no other words, for there is still no words that help me with the lost of Frank. Pompsey is very beautiful.

Thank you to all...

Thank you so much Claudia and Merlin's Mom! It really is hard, isn't it! If you can be soulmates with a pet, then I had that with Pompsey. I appreciate your virtual hugs and thoughts. Not everybody understands this kind of loss. My thoughts are with you too, for your loses. Virtual hugs back to both of you.

I am so sorry about your loss. I lost two precious dogs recently and it has been very hard. I feel your pain and also send a virtual hug your way. Pompsey must have owned an amazing human to have taken such good care of her for so many years.

Tina,

I'm so sorry to hear about Pompsey's passing. I'm sending loads of love your way and giving you a big virtual hug. It's so hard when we lose a beloved furry family member. I still miss my Mia terribly. Remembering the good times we had together helps a lot. The best way to honor Pompsey's memory is to celebrate her life.

Thank you for letting us know.

Claudia

Pompsey 1992 - 2012
by: Tina (Pompsey's mom)

Hello, and thank you to all who have visited Pompsey. I'm sad to report that my dear baby passed away at 20 years old on April 17, 2012. Life is not the same; I miss her so much. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments. They help keep her alive in a different way.

Pompsey is so cute! Wow, 20 years. I've never seen a cat that old. Not that she's old. You know what I mean. :)

Pompsey's Mom to Merlin's Mom
by: Anonymous

Thanks, Merlin's Mom. I checked out your animals too and they're lucky to have you. I wish Pompsey was simply slowing down as in "couch patato" but she's really failing. I'm doing all I can for her. This is a cat that's spent her life riding around in the crook of my arm--so affectionate. It's true what they say about tuxedos: she is dog-like. She played fetch with tin-foil when she was younger and loved to chase the tape-measure in her later years. She has had distinct phases. To respond to your question, I always wanted to get a professional picture done but it never came together so that picture I simply took myself. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for posting. I hope I'm supposed to respond under your post in this way...?

Pompsey

I love this picture! Was is professionally taken? I recently adopted a 6 pound tuxedo cat. She had already had a litter, and obviously spent time in the wild protecting her babies and herself. It is taking time for her to trust, but she sits in my lap now. And she is finally learning not to panic that there won't be another meal after the current one in front of her. She is a tiny bundle of spitfire. I can't imagine one 3 pounds smaller. What an amazing kitty. I hope you have her for more years to come. They can slow down, and still live happy years as a couch potato. Thank's for sharing. I will get Minnie Pearl's picture up soon to share as well. But Pompsey is a real beauty and a testament to a long happy life with a good family and furever home!
